Tenement 2 (T2)

T2 or Tenement 2 is a 2009 pinoy horror movie that talks about a place in a building of Manila, Philippines where mysteries eventually happened. This movie talks about Claire (Maricel Soriano), an orphan volunteer who tried to help an orphaned little girl Angeli (Mika dela Cruz) because she claimed that somebody would like to take her away with them.

At first Claire is hesitant about the girl’s condition and she didn’t believe the little girl's claims because she thought that it’s just a part of her hallucinations and imaginations. Later, she concluded that it’s really true and these groups of mysterious people or the so called engkanto (enchanted beings) would like to get and take Angeli away. Some of them even pretended to be humans that are willing to help Claire and Angeli that made them confused of who really these people are and what are their motives for taking Angeli with them.

The revelations of the story behind the little girl has been cleared up in the later part when Claire discovered from an old woman Rita (Tetchie Agbayani) in the building that the Angeli should be taken by these strange people before she will reach 9 years old and another revealing discovery when Claire knew that the little girl’s mother is a family of enchanted beings or the engkantos who exists in another world and planning to take her back. Also, Rita’s daughter was taken by these enchanted beings and she would like to get her daughter back from them.

The story ended in the T2 floor where it looks like just a natural part of the old building but inside it is a paradise of engkantos. Rita helped Claire in fighting with them and destroying the place, the little girl decided not to go back with her mother who is a member of the enchanted beings and she chose go with Claire who already helped her from the start.

Shake, Rattle & Roll

Shake, Rattle & Roll is a Filipino horror film series which started way back in 1984. Currently it is produced by Regal Films. Most of the series are always noted as official entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival with the exception of the sixth installment which premiered in January 1997. The title is solely based on the song of the same name. This horror film franchise which is currently owned by Regal Films is known to be the only film series in the Philippines with the most movie installments. The first installment was released under the defunct Athena Productions while all the succeeding series are produced by Regal Entertainment. As of 2010, there are twelve installments of the movie series (with the latest being premiered in December 2010). - Wikipedia

The theme of the movie is mostly horror, thriller and suspense. It is divided into 3 parts for the 3 words in the title. That made the sequence still up until now. Way back in the 80's the movie features ancient scary creatures, beings and monsters. As the years passed some of the featured stories are evolving from old concepts to the modern ideas today.

As to this date the movie never misses a year that it became an entry in Manila Film Festival. The success of the movie is still evolving as new stars are featured in every sequence of the movie. Until now the movie still never misses to scare everyone in the movie house and theaters.

Bulong

The movie is a pack of horror and comedy which makes it more interesting to watch. It talks about a morgue assistant who works in a hospital and assigned to the morgue to deliver cadavers. He has a love interest with a nurse and no matter how hard he try the nurse never liked him, that's because she also has an affair with a doctor inside the hospital.

Despaired feelings brought him to discover techniques to make that girl fall in love with him as a result his friend suggested that whispering your likes to dead people can make it come true. At first he failed because he can't find the right cadaver to whisper so he drink liquors desperately.

One night on the street she encountered an old woman and advised him to drink moderately, after few minutes the old woman was bumped by a car and dead on the spot so he take the chances of whispering to her and suddenly the surroundings is filled with strong winds and everything floats in seconds.

After that, on the next day he noticed that girls in the hospital cheers to him but the ghost of the old woman hunts him and delivers horrible effect to the persons around him. Later he discovered that the old woman was a retired witch and searching for her grand daughter to help her because in her witch days she was paid to curse a girl with rivalry in love and the discover that the rival of her client was her grand daughter.

So with the help of his friend they trace the old woman's grand daughter and save her from the curse with the use of holy water.

Interesting movie to watch and with lessons to learn as you go along watching the movie.

White Lady

White Lady is a 2006 pinoy horror movie that talks about Christina (Angelica Panganiban), who is in revenge as a white lady after being killed by her known friends in school. After her death many have experienced of a white lady sightings in school.

Many said that she is just around and finding her way for revenge. In school, a new student Pearl (Pauleen Luna) from the province came to study in the city. Her story has a resemblance with Christina’s which at first day of school meet new friends or pretending friends around and make friends with her. They even invited her in parties and gatherings since Pearl is known in the school as smart and talented. She always sings an Ilocano lullaby which Christina also did before she was killed.

Nearby her place she met an old woman named Lola Tasya (Boots Anson-Roa) who is Christina’s grandmother and she always says that after Christina’s friends make stupid things to her, she never get out of the house and always stays inside her room. This feeling is how her grandmother thinks even if Christina is already dead. Pearl’s known friends started to do foolish things that made her their enemy and always pretended that they are friends with her. She also met Robbie (J.C. de Vera) who is Christina’s ex-boyfriend and the one who’s responsible of her death. Pearl fell in love with him and they started to spend their days together. Some of Robbie’s friends died one by one because of the white lady’s revenge and everyone gets frightened and afraid that this will also happened to them knowing that they are all guilty.

Beyond that, things seems smooth with the two of them since Robbie always defended Pearl against his friends but when Robbie saw that Pearl is getting close with Jonathan (Gian Carlos), he get jealous and treated Pearl like what he did to Christina. He take Pearl in the back of the school in the utility room and attempted to burn her like what he did with Christina and now to Pearl together with Jonathan but they survived. The white lady also spends her time to avenge them all. On Robbie’s way home the white lady showed to her and tried to escape while on his way to a tower but the ghost of Christina showed him over and over again and pushed him to fall off the tower. This ends the revenge of the white lady and the ghost of Christina in peace.

Movie Feedback
A nice and shocking horror movie of how revenge can be worth more than 10,000 times dangerous than what is originally done from her. White Lady is one of the most common horror characters of all time in Filipino folklore stories.
